From Jennifer Braddock (BFA 04) “I will be attending the National Multiple Sclerosis Society National Conference in Dallas this week - as a filmmaker. A few months ago, I was one of five individuals selected from the society to direct a film for the conference, and tell a story of how MS has affected my life. A small crew came to film me for a couple of days, followed me at work on set, and spent some time with me as we made a short documentary. The story centers around how I was diagnosed with MS during my junior year at FSU, but because of the supportive people in my life, especially at the film school, I was able to graduate on time; however, I waited a few years to start my career in the industry, and now, I won't let my disease stop me. The film will show on Friday, October 26 in a general session of over 1200 people, so I'm pretty excited! By the way, I just completed my third MS Bike tour – I climbed some mountains this past weekend on the way to Santa Barbara, and road through a northeastern storm and few weeks ago in Florida. THE STATE OF SUNSHINE (MFA Thesis 2007 - Z. Eric Yang & Crew) just earned director Eric Yang the DGA Student Award Best Asian Short Student Film Award.
